Treatment overview
JUVÉDERM Vollure treatment in Vernon Hills is used to treat moderate to severe lines in the lower face.
Specifically, oral commissures, nasal labial folds and marionette lines.
Before Vollure, Juvederm was used to treat these mid-face areas, but Vollure uses Vycross Technology, allowing our experienced injectors to contour the injected area and provide longer lasting results.
JUVÉDERM Vollure XC is a colorless hyaluronic acid injectable gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and to act as a cushioning agent.

How it Works
The Consultation
At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.
Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have. Only then can we make a recommendation for which procedures or treatments may be right for you and why. We will be sure to educate you on how the treatments work, including what to expect during and afterward.
A typical consultation lasts about 40 minutes and is free of charge for all aesthetic treatments, including Juvéderm. At the end of your consultation, you will leave our office in Vernon Hills with a thorough, personalized treatment plan. And when you’re ready, we’ll schedule your first treatment session.
The Procedure
During your JUVÉDERM Vollure XC appointment in Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, we will ensure your total comfort in a clean, comfortable, and private treatment room.
This treatment is relatively quick and minimally invasive, with most patients less than an hour at our office once the topical numbing cream has been applied.
Though JUVÉDERM Vollure XC injections are a widely popular procedure, they still require a high level of skill and experience in order to get the longest-lasting, most natural results. Given that there are multiple different Juvèderm gels designed for different purposes, your injection site may vary. However, the most common injection sites are nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
JUVÉDERM Vollure XC has a small amount of lidocaine mixed in for an anesthetic effect, improving the comfort of the injection
The Recovery
Some Juvéderm Vollure XC patients may experience mild redness or swelling at the injection sites, but these side effects should go away on their own in a matter of days.
Also, we generally recommend patients avoid alcohol consumption, aspirin or ibuprofen, strenuous activity, and wearing makeup for at least 24 hours following treatment.
