Hyperhidrosis, more commonly known as excessive sweating, can significantly affect a person’s quality of life.

In some cases, problematic sweating is limited to one area of the body, such as the underarms or feet, a condition called focal hyperhidrosis. Other cases are more generalized, with sweating over large areas of the body.

Botox injections can be an effective way to control excessive sweating. It works by blocking a chemical in the body that activates the sweat glands. The FDA have approved this treatment for underarm use only.

Botox is relatively costly compared with other treatments for excessive sweating. Some health insurance providers can cover the expense, but only if other treatments are not successful.

At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.

Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have.
