How it Works
The Consultation
At RL Center for Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, each initial patient consultation is different.
Depending on your needs, desired treatments, areas of concern, and simply who you are as a patient, we will schedule you with an actual treatment provider to discuss your goals, budget, and more. During this appointment, we will go through before & after photos, your medical history, and any questions you might have. Only then can we make a recommendation for which procedures or treatments may be right for you and why. We will be sure to educate you on how the treatments work, including what to expect during and afterward.
A typical consultation lasts about 40 minutes and is free of charge for all aesthetic treatments, including AGNES RF. At the end of your consultation, you will leave our office in Vernon Hills with a thorough, personalized treatment plan. And when you’re ready, we’ll schedule your first treatment session.
Your Agnes RF Procedure
The Agnes RF uses different specialized insulated needles that precisely deposit energy (focused heat) at the correct depth, in a safe and effective manner.
In the case of under-eye bags, jowls, and submental fat, these needles destroy fat cells and tighten the skin. The heat produced stimulates collagen and tightens based on the depth of energy delivered below the surface. The energy causes a localized injury that heals very quickly and keeps the surface intact. Because of the precise control of the energy delivery, there is improvement seen with minimal to no downtime and the procedure is safe for most patients.
The penetration induces collagen production and causes contractions on the dermis and the reduction of wrinkles. With regards to active acne or cystic acne, the heat shrinks or destroys the sebaceous gland, leading to smaller pores and reduced acne. This is all performed non-surgically.
The Recovery
At the time of the treatment, our medical assistants will review post care instructions and follow up protocols.
For deep wrinkles and eye bags, you can expect recovery time to last up to two weeks. During the first week, you may experience some swelling and redness. After receiving Agnes RF, there may be some bruising, which can be treated with an ice pack to reduce the swelling and discomfort.
